West Side River (Creep Remix) Release

Well this has been a hectic year, and a lot of crazy things have happened including 2 strokes, and a car accident. I will say I am glad to be releasing a new track which is a stellar piece I had the pleasure of remixing originally produced by Damian Channel. I took his ambient style track West Side River, and took it to a whole different dark direction. I didn't record any guitars in it because I wanted to keep it creepy feeling as possible, and the guitars just seemed to give the track a positive pick me up. I had a lot of fun twisting this track around, but it take me a little bit to figure out what I wanted to do with the track. Once I finally figured what I wanted to do with the track it was smooth sailing. It was pretty awesome working with this track also because I haven't done anything with a dark or ambient feel to it in a long time. After everything going on it felt great to get another track finally released, and be getting back in the studio.

Having the strokes really took a toll on me, and put a lot of stress on my family, but the car accident really messed up my wife. My wife is still recovering from the accident which was on her birthday July 24th. My wife ended up having hemorrhages in her eyes from the accident, and post concussive syndrome from which she is still recovering from almost  3 months later. It is sad that my wife has been out of work up until just last week due to the injuries from this accident. It was heart wrenching seeing her hurting, and messed up from the car accident and there was nothing I could do to make her better. I am grateful though that she will make a full recovery. It might take a couple more months, but she will make a full recovery.

I am keeping this blog short, and will get back in the habit of posting weekly like I did before all this craziness started. Remember "Never give in, never give up!"
