Wentzville R-IV School District Letting Parents Down Pt. 1

The Wentzville School District has been failing its parents, and students a lot over this school year, and it is starting to come to light. This will be one of several stories I will be sharing on my blog.

Wentzville School district has a dress code in their parent and student handbooks that they hand out, and go over with students. Students are supposed to dress appropriately such as no sleeveless shirts, no sagging pants, no low cut shirts, or short shorts just to name a few.

They have not been enforcing their dress code rules all year. I was up at one of their middle schools with my wife. We were standing in the office, and in walks a mom with her daughter who was late to school. Her daughter was wearing an extremely low cut sleeveless shirt, and short shorts. If the girl would have bent over to pick something up her chest would have fallen out of her shirt, and her butt and everything else would have come out of her shorts. Now this girl is standing right there in the office with the staff, and principals all around, and going in and out of their office. The secretary looks at her asks her what grade she is in, and what team she is on, gives her a hall pass, and sends her to class. My wife and I step out in the hallway and 95% of the female students are dressed in the same manner. No body is saying anything to any of them.

Now I have been in the music worlds almost my entire life, and have played a lot of clubs. I also used to hit the clubs hard with friends on the weekends. I have never seen a group of women at a club dressed like these middle school girls are being allowed to. There are even clubs around here that won't allow you in if you're dressed like that. I have for a long time done 3 to 5 gigs a week all at different clubs, and out of doing shows both as FreedomAndForgiven, and being in other bands I have only seen a total of 4 women dressed the way these girls dress in middle school. One was a 15 year old girl who's 18 year old boyfriend was in a band playing, and he snuck her in. One of the others was walking around a 12 hour music festival all day drinking while pushing a stroller with a 2 month old in it. The other 2 where part time strippers who would go out dancing before they went in to work at the strip club. That is the one place you will find a lot of women dressed in those super short booty shorts, and low cut shirts. The strip club, and it's the people who are working there that are wearing clothes that barely cover anything. Why are parents letting their daughters dress like strippers, and why are schools allowing them to come to school dressed like strippers?

Now it gets even better. They stopped allowing boys to wear sleeveless or muscle shirts. They've started calling parents and making them bring their kids clothes or take them home. BUT they haven't said anything about the girls wearing booty shorts with all their business hanging out the bottom, and the low cut shirts that barely hold their chests in. You go past bus stops for the Wentzville R-IV School District, and you will notice none of the boys at the stops are wearing muscle shirts, but almost everyone of the girls is wearing booty shorts, and low cut shirts.

You would think that the staff, and administration would want what's best for the children like they say they do. If they do then why do they allow students to come to school that dress like they work at a strip club? We should be educating our children not letting them prep for a job as strippers. Seriously how is a woman going to get not just a job, but career when she is going around dressed in low cut shirts, and booty shorts all the time. Our children should be taught that that's not how you get somewhere in life, and to have more respect for yourself, and body rather then just flaunt everything. You can't even work at a fast food restaurant wearing booty shorts, and a low cut shirt for goodness sake.

Now mind you is this no means just the schools fault. It is the parents who allow their kids to dress that way, but the school district only makes it worse by allowing it to go on at the school. Maybe instead of trying to make up new rules or work around issues the Wentzville School District should enforce the rules they already have.
