Kicking off the new year.

Sitting here listening to some All That Remains, Five Finger Death Punch, and some Terravita. I had a somber moment this week. I have been ranked the #1 electronic artist in the area, and #10 out of all the top musicians in the area. The person who held the #1 spot for electronic music has held it for over 4 years now. This was a total shock, and I owe it to my fans. You guys made it possible. It kind of put me a bit on cloud 9 the past couple days.

I have been working at a couple different new tracks quite hard lately. The end of this month should start the commencement of the recording. I will be working with the lead singer of Shotgun Abby who is also a friend of mine, and has some monster lungs and vocal range. I might also do a little work with a female vocalist, but I have this time taken every on last thing. I don't sing, and couldn't if my life depended on it since my brain surgeries. They had to go through my neck to do the surgery, and now my voice goes in and out or will crack real bad. So I have to count on other people to do the vocals for me. So that is the one thing I am having to have people come in for.I also might be working with choirs also.

On the side of working on straight originals I am also working on some massive remixes that I will put out separately. Some are some more Christmas tracks which I am enjoying doing, and another at the moment is selected pieces from The Nutcracker. Time permitting between all the crazy stuff I want to try and get some remixes done of some John Lennon, Five Finger Death Punch, and Metallica. All those will be legit remixes used with permission. Not bootlegs.

One thing that has made working on new tracks even better, and more fun is that I have branched out on some programs that I was using for MIDI, and drums.  I am working with several vintage style drum machines, and analog synths. I love the sound of an 808 or 909 hitting, and have loved the feel of them forever. The thump, and hit hard. Nothing is better then a slamming bass pounding in your gut. The sound of a guitar cranking, and bass hitting you hard is just awesome. The one thing with all the low end going into stuff is that it is going to be hard on low quality/cheap speakers. So be warned, and be afraid. Be very afraid!
